Why do I need to switch from my old landline? +
The UK copper phone network is being permanently switched off on 31 January 2027. After that date traditional landlines will no longer work. Switching to a digital home VoIP line now means you are prepared well in advance with no last minute panic. For more information visit the GOV.UK PSTN information page.
Can I keep my home phone number? +
Yes. Your existing home number can be ported across in most cases. Your family and friends will be able to reach you on the same number as always.
Do I need a new phone? +
Not necessarily. In many cases a simple adaptor can be used so your existing handset keeps working. If you do need a new phone we can supply one — just let us know when you place your order.
What happens to my phone if the internet goes down? +
VoIP phones need an internet connection to work so if your broadband goes down your phone will go offline too. We can set up call forwarding to your mobile so you never miss a call even if your broadband has an issue.
