A Welsh Government scheme that covers the install cost of a new broadband connection for properties currently stuck below 30 Mbps. We handle the eligibility check and the paperwork as part of the install.
Install cost paid by the Welsh Government
The scheme funds the install of a new service that gets you over 30 Mbps reliably. Full fibre where it has reached, 4G or 5G fixed wireless where it has not, or satellite (Starlink) for properties past the reach of either.
The grant is paid directly to the supplier, not to you. For us that means we deduct the grant value from your install bill so the up-front cost of getting connected becomes manageable. For a remote farm or smallholding it can be the difference between staying on a 4 Mbps line and being properly online.
The scheme does not subsidise the ongoing monthly fee. That is standard-rate broadband from go-live, billed as normal.
Eligibility is set by the Welsh Government. The basics: your property is currently below 30 Mbps and commercial rollout is not planned for your address. We check before quoting.
We handle Cymru grant applications across Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and north Wales. Rural belts of all four counties have eligible postcodes — coastal towns less so.

How much is the grant worth?
Up to £800 for residential properties and up to £1,500 for small businesses, paid directly to the supplier to cover the install cost of a qualifying new connection. The grant covers the install, not the ongoing service fees.

How do I know if I am eligible?

Do you do the paperwork?
Yes. We handle the application as part of the install. You provide the address, we confirm the speed-test, we file the paperwork.
What happens after the install?
Standard ongoing service fees from then on. The grant covers the installation cost only. Once you are live the service is billed as normal.
