SIP Trunks — Keep Your Existing PBX Best for businesses that already have a working PBX phone system and just need to replace the traditional phone lines. SIP trunks connect your existing system to the internet, keeping your setup familiar while making it PSTN switch off ready.

Business VoIP Questions

Can I keep my existing business phone numbers? +
Yes. Your existing numbers can be ported across to the new system. Your customers will not notice any difference and you keep the numbers your business is known for.
Will VoIP work reliably in a rural area? +
Yes provided you have a stable internet connection, which is exactly what we also supply. We will make sure your broadband connection is up to the job before we set up your phone system, so everything works together reliably from day one.
Do I need new phones? +
It depends on your current setup. If you already have IP compatible handsets they may work with the new system. If you need new phones we supply and configure business grade VoIP handsets and can have them ready to use out of the box. A softphone app is also available if your team prefer to use their mobiles or laptops.
What happens to my phones in a power cut? +
Unlike traditional landlines, VoIP phones require power and an internet connection to work. In a power cut your desk phones will go offline. However calls can be automatically diverted to a mobile number so your business stays reachable. We can set this up as part of your call flow configuration.
Is the PSTN switch off going to force me to change anyway? +
Yes. The UK copper phone network is being permanently switched off on 31 January 2027. Every traditional business phone line will stop working on that date.
