The copper phone network closes in January 2027. Every traditional UK landline will stop carrying calls. The simplest move is a digital home phone. Keep your existing phone and number
You do not need a new phone. If you want to keep your existing handset, it plugs into a small adapter included with the Home Phone + ATA Adapter package (£13.49/month inc VAT, 24 months). The PAYG and 1,000-minute plans do not include an adapter.
Your existing number can come across with you in most cases, for £15 per number (capped at £75 per request). A new standard number is £2/month. Memorable numbers are also available: Silver £4.99/month + £10 setup, Gold £19.99/month + £35 setup, Platinum £39.99/month + £35 setup.

Important: Digital phone lines need power and an internet connection. In a power cut or broadband outage, calls (including 999) will not work through the line. If you rely on your landline, for example for a telecare alarm or because mobile signal is poor, tell us and we will talk through backup options.

Can I keep my number?
Yes in most cases. Number porting is £15 per number, capped at £75 per request. A new standard number is £2/month. Porting takes 1 to 2 weeks.
Do I need to be a Cader Networks broadband customer?
No. Home VoIP works over any broadband connection, from any provider, anywhere in the UK. You don't need to be one of our broadband customers to take VoIP from us.
Is this the cheapest home VoIP in the UK?
Not always. Some providers undercut us on certain plans, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we offer is straightforward, fairly priced home VoIP with no contract tie-in, no hidden fees beyond the one-off porting charge, and a real local team who pick up the phone. If price is your only concern, it is worth comparing. If you want it done properly, that is us.
What happens when broadband drops?
VoIP needs an internet connection, so the phone goes with it during an outage. We can set up automatic call divert to your mobile so calls still reach you.
Do I need a new phone?
Not necessarily. If you want to keep your existing handset, the Home Phone + adapter package (£13.49/month inc VAT, 24 months) includes the adapter. The PAYG and 1,000-minute plans do not include an adapter, but a corded or cordless handset is available as part of a handset package.

Are calls inclusive of VAT?
